EVENT: COVE Session on Images and Gallery-Building (Thursday 5th March 2026)
Dear BAVS members:
On Thursday, at 9 am Eastern (2 pm Britain, 3 pm CET), I will be running a COVE session that just concentrates on images and gallery-building. I’ll show you: 1) how to make use of the hundreds of thousands of images that we have now made available from the Art Institute of Chicago, Baylor, the Getty, the Huntington, the Library of Congress, Princeton, and the Smithsonian; 2) how to upload your own images to add to your collection at COVE Studio or COVE Editions; 3) how to annotate images at COVE Studio; 4) how to create a gallery at COVE Studio; 5) how to add images and movies to your annotations in COVE Studio; and 6) how to create a gallery and also “cases” of images at COVE Editions. The session should be of interest to anyone who works with or teaches images and film; works with or teaches book history; and/or is involved in archival research. Are you interested in Julia Margaret Cameron’s photography or would like students to see (and annotate) Kelmscott Press books or do you teach Dante Gabriel Rossetti’s double works? If yes, then this session is for you!
Just email me (felluga@purdue.edu) if you’d like to join. COVE is non-profit and BAVS members receive free access upon request (as a benefit of membership).
Be well!
Dino
