Currently working on minor edits for my PhD thesis 'Outraged Beauty: The Dionysian Retinue and the Lineages of British Aestheticism, 1918-1930', I am primarily interested in classical iconographies, queer male sexuality, and the survival of aestheticist discourses in British art beyond the conventionally observed watershed of 1895, with a particular focus on the writings of Walter Pater. I have also published on Aubrey Beardsley and on the figure of Pierrot in late nineteenth and early twentieth century British art.
