I am a Government of Ireland Irish Research Council Scholar and PhD candidate at the Centre for Irish Studies at the University of Galway.
My research focuses on nineteenth century botanical illustration and Ireland's imperial legacy in this context.
I hold an MA from IADT Dun Laoghaire (ARC – Art + Research Collaboration) a programme with Dublin City Arts Office and a BA (Irish Studies) from Trinity College Dublin.
A recovering florist, I am interested in the history of the global contemporary flower industry and the profound effect climate change is having accelerating pollinator losses and wildflower declines.
