I am interested in the relationship between geology, palaeontology, and literature during the nineteenth and early twentieth centuries, with an especial focus on dinosaurs and lost-world fiction. Most recently, I have been examining the literary genres and techniques used in religious and occult geoscientific writing, including Christian creationist and occult/Theosophical cosmogonies.
