Research expertise in the interplay between the liminal state of working-class female characters (e.g. with both childness and adultness) and the narrative instability of Victorian literature, with particular interests in Victorian studies, narrative theories, childhood studies, consumer culture, gender and sexuality, animal studies, and digital humanities.
